Throughout my three and a half years at Marist, I’ve heard a lot of hearsay about our hookup tradition. In a single example, a male Vassar student said that Marist ladies don’t go homeward with Vassar pupils following the club. When discussing this to a lady Marist student, she explained and protested the exact opposite.
I really couldn't help but question: So what does Marist hookup culture actually appear to be and exactly how do Marist pupils feel about any of it? To learn what’s happening behind the views, Jenna Boccabella and I also carried out a study. We distribute the study through direct-messaging arbitrary Marist pupils on Instagram, publishing on Twitter groups and asking teachers to e-mail it with their students. An overall total of 173 pupils finished the survey, by which 131 had been females, 37 had been men, and 5 had been non-binary. A lot of the members had been women that are straight seniors.
